winmapper and MM1.xx storage format
 

Im trying Winmapper.exe as a tool to predownload tiles before converting them to the MM2.xx storage format using map2gdbm.exe. Are there any newer more upto date tools around for doing this?

is there a explanation somewhere for how the tiles winmapper is downloading are stored? what is the geographic organization of the tiles in the MM1.xx storage format? for example...
<root dir>/dataset/zoom/20555/50193.jpg

what does the 20555 reference and what does the 50193 refrence?
are they coordinates?
