What should I do to run vsftpd?

When I try to start it - i get:
500 OOPS: vsftpd: not configured for standalone, must be started from inetd

I'm not sure if there is "inetd" in Maemo OS2007HE. I can't find any /etc/inetd.conf file so I assume it's not that simple.
