Some screenshots pictures are on #13,#21 of this thread. You may have to use "delay shot" in order to do it. I used osso-statusbar-cpu, http://www.internettablettalk.com/fo...d.php?t=12677: you also have to install osso-screenshot-tool for it to work, just look into your app manager, it should be there already. Another screenshot tool is here, http://tuomas.kulve.fi/blog/2007/01/...creen-grabber/. __________________________________________________ __________________________________ add another new command yourself [Settings - Commands - New] Description: Take screenshot in 5 seconds Command: /bin/sh -c 'stamp=`date +%Y-%m-%d-%H-%M`; i=1; while [ -f /media/mmc1/shot-$stamp-`printf %02d $i`.png ]; do i=$((i+1)); done; sleep 5; osso-screenshot-tool /media/mmc1/shot-$stamp-`printf %02d $i`.png' __________________________________________________ __________________________________________________ _____ I think 5 is too short for this purpose, I use 30, change sleep 5 into sleep 30. I use cut and paste to do this step, i.e., just copy this command in your tablet and paste it when open the new command, that save a lot of headache in typo. bun |

BART planner ftw! Only useful in the bay area, though.

Does anyone have Avant-Go working?

Re: Apps that runs well on my NokiaGVM. And yours?
I can't get any app to install in this new VM version.
I've tried several different apps. They all error the same way: Failed to install <application> (err=0x30060209) Any ideas of what to look at to correct this? |

Re: Apps that runs well on my NokiaGVM. And yours?
Worldmate runs correctly, but the standard "evaluation" period is only 24 hours and their system will (understandably) not allow me to reuse the activation code from the copy I run on my Treo. I sucessfully used the wireless network connection to update the weather and exchange rates. The Atomic Time Synch feature reset the GVM clock, and did not change the N810 system time. However, the GVM uses N810 system time after exiting and restarting.
Personal PowerOne calculator runs well. This is an application which is actually easier to use on the GVM versus Treo 680 because it adds use configurable buttons when run in 480 x 320 mode. FileMan an unimaginatively named file manager from Bits ' Bolts software runs correctly. It can create SFX selfextracting archives and I use this as a method to transfer files from Treo to GVM because the GVM recognizes the SFX as an "installable" application. This is nice because I can install an entire set of files from SD in a single operation, including data files. Documents to Go runs, but I haven't tested it in depth or tried to use the activation code from my Treo. |
Re: Apps that runs well on my NokiaGVM. And yours?
Smartlist ToGo is working perfectly now. In the previous version the application worked but you could not see the records. Now you can see everything and edit records perfectly. My grocery list and my cocktail database are back online!!
Palmary Clock is now working as it should. The maps and moon phases work without a hitch. Contacts5 is also up and running, but this is one of the few apps that worked well in the previous version. All the other apps I used have been succesfully replaced in my n800, so other than this there are no other critical items that I really need to work in GVM. This has really been a godsend. |
