skype in pidgin
 

darrennewman@sky.com's thread on facebook with pidgin led me to finding a project using skype with pidgin. i've compiled it as a deb available here:
http://www.dpo.uab.edu/~rcloud/skypepidgin.deb

not sure how helpful this will be since it requires skype to be running, but if anyone wants it...

On a similar topic, anyone notice how pidgen and skype don't get along at the same time? When both programs have been running for a while, skype calls have constant drop-outs. Pidgin also starts to act weird when minimizing.
