770 Warranty Repair
 

Hey all,

A few of you may remember my thread a while back on how my 770 had stopped reading memory cards...well, I sent it in a couple weeks ago and it seems they're replacing it. Guess they couldn't figure it out either!

"Your Nokia 770 device was received for repair on May 22, 2008.

Unfortunately we were unable to repair your device and are currently awaiting delivery of a replacement device for you."

I hope they get it sent back (pretty) soon...it would be real nice to have around at my internship.

They're pretty punctual about shipping out new ones. When my first 770 got its WSOD I sent it in and after a week waiting for status update they changed it to shipping replacement and it was at my house 2 or 3 days later.

Well it took them almost two months after the "Awaiting Replacement Device" status, but they finally got back to me about what's going to happen. Apparently they can't get a new 770 for me, so they're shipping out an N800 instead.

So...I guess if you still have a 770, now is a great time to send it in under warranty.

Haha I know what you mean...I'm still thinking about asking them if they can send me the broken 770 back in addition to the n800.

I mean...they can't fix it, I might as well put it in a glass case or something...lol
