Would you tell me how to fix problems with Fn and Shift keys and autocomplete?

Hello. I'm a newbie and am wondering if someone could kindly help me fix problems with my 810. I don't remember when it started, but my 810 no longer shows or does autocomplete, autocapitalization, and word suggestions. Also gone is the feature with fn and shift keys where if you click them twice, you can get cap and fn lock. I now have to hold them down to get the same effects which I used to get just by clicking them twice.

I figure my problem has a simple solution, but couldn't tell from the manuals and other FAQ and internet sources.

Thank you very much for your help in advance. (I wonder if my installation of a Japanese language kit has caused the problem.).

Oh, I forgot to mention that text input under Control Panel is configured to enable word completion and so on.

Best wishes,

Taka

A little bit painful, but have you tried restarting? I bumped into this problem at some point and that solved it. Seems that a particular service crashed, and at the time I was not interested in figuring out what.
Still, it would be nice to know what is in charge of the physical keyboard stuff :)

Thank you for your advice. What does restarting involve? Is it like reformatting?

Thanks a bunch!

Restarting the device involves switching it off (holding down the power key for a few seconds) and switching it on again.
