Diablo: email / rss no longer updating automatically
 

Has anyone else observed this? : after updating to Diablo my n810 no longer automatically fetches emails or updates it's rss feeds automatically. I'm not sure if it's performing the automatic updates in application managerf either (I don't know if there have been any updates since I flashed to the new release yesterday...)

Any help finding a solution would be much appreciated (including pointers on where to start diagnosis).

Otherwise: diablo seems very good!

(PS: this was posted from the N810, using MicroB - not something I have been brave enough to try before!)

I don't use the built in rss reader,but the email updates well.Open menu tools-setting,make sure the "update automatically" is marked.

the email and rss reader are both setup to automatically update when connected to wlan. I have turned the settings off and on again (saving settings in between) in case it was some old bad configuration carried over from the backups.

A reflash and restore from backup (without restoring settings or other files) has fixed the issue, so I must have had some bad configuration somewhere...

perhaps a conflict between restoring the configuration for modest beta and the old email client?

Speaking of that, why has this site previously supposedly not worked with MicroB? It's always worked for me...

Hmm, I'm having the same issue with my restored RSS feeds. Really don't fancy a reflash - will investigate further and raise a bug if necessary.

I got a used N800 yesterday, flashed Diablo (nothing to restore, there was no backup) and have the same problem: Neither mail nor RSS update automatically. :(

Benny, the mail setting described in
