Suggested sub-fora in Alternatives

Here's a few suggestions; Debian I'm pretty sure deserves a slot in Alternatives, the others less so.

Debian
This is widely used, both as a standalone (independently booting) and chroot environment; Lenny and Sid are both used somewhat, and the ~3 threads reasonably active are growing long and hairy.

Qtopia
It exists for the tablets, though not much is heard of it. It usually gets brought up ~2/3 of the way through the natural life of some other thread. Perhaps a forum for it, with one starter thread with installation instructions, would be helpful?

Partial replacements
This could cover replacements for low-level chunks of ITOS, notably:
  • Powerlaunch (replaces mce/systemui/dsme)
  • Bootmenu (replaces/supplements stock initfs)
And anything else I'm missing. Maybe that's not enough stuff (or even a coherent enough category) to justify one, but it's a thought...

Anyone else have thoughts on these, or other possibilities I've left out?

Re: Suggested sub-fora in Alternatives

I've added Debian.

For the others, lets keep the discussion directly under the Alternatives forum for the mean time. We can then move the threads to a new forum later on when needed.

Thanks.

Thanks!

These two Debian threads should be moved under the Debian heading, too.

Continuing development of Debian on NITs

New Debian (beta3) for the N8x0 w/ XFCE
