Video playing...what I did
Say what you want about the iPod, there are nice video conversion tools out there. For the N810, it is more figuring.
I took a DVD movie and ripped it with DVD decryptor and then used Nero Recode to create an .mp4 file. I then took the .mp4 file and used Internet Tablet Video Converter and created an .avi file. This file plays pretty well on the N810. Much better than anything else I have tried although it takes a bit of time. Sal |
Re: Video playing...what I did
I'm using software like DVD catalyst ( direct DVD to Mp4) or allok video to pod converter ( File to Mp4) to convert it directly to a MP4 file without having to go through too many steps. The software also increases the volume of the movie or tv show and it's a one pass process. I find I don't need to use the internet tablet video converter and I'm managing to fit about 23 movies on an 8GB mini card.

Re: Video playing...what I did
I also use DVD Catalyst 3. Costs $20. One step process. Use 400 x 240 setting for video conversion. Use 5 or 6 for volume setting. Anything higher can distort sound.

Re: Video playing...what I did
you can use standard DVD Ripper for the VOB and use Super it will go from VOB to anything you like just about MarkZ also has a nice converter project as far as quality he has played around with here.
http://www.internettablettalk.com/fo...ad.php?t=15430 Im not sure if it will do VOB to mp4 etc but the divx files run great I would expect it to do VOB to w/e though but I haven't tried it yet. |
