[Canola] Youtube Plugin N770 2007he black screen
 
Hi,

iīve installed the youtube plugin for canola.

After selecting a video, the player screen stays black
and the loading progress bar donīt move.

However, Mplayer is installed and i checked the new youtube dir
on mmc1, but there was no .flv file..

Whatīs wrong with my setup, iīve no clue how to analyze this.

is playing youtube vids in general possible with
n700 an canola ?

Anybody managed to get this to work ?

It can be done but you will have to do some serious hacking to get there.

Jonh: It works on the newer devices :)

For the 770 this steps are good to give you extra power.. but you can live without them... but it will be "jerky"

So : try it out : install canola for 770 (os2007 or 2008) and then youtube plugin to see.

I applied the fanoush's 48 MHz SDHC/MMC kernel
and now the plugin plays the vids flawless :rolleyes:

Cloning the OS to MMC was not necsessary :D

The effort to patch the kernel was worth the speed
improvement.
