Where Are All The Lib Files?
Theres been a few times now that when I try to install some app on my n800 I get a message saying it couldnt install due to missing lib files.
Then it goes on to list a bunch of them. For instance, when I attempted to install fuelpad for Diablo it failed. Is there someplace I can get all of these lib files? What about a GTK+ package that has an auto installer? Thanks! |
Re: Where Are All The Lib Files?
I doubt it's missing files, but packages, actually.
Anyway, if you install apps living in repos, the dependencies are automatically gotten by the apt system, which is the under-the-hood stuff used by App Mgr. If the apps aren't in repos, you should petition the maintainer to get them in the maemo extras or extras-devel (as appropriate) repo, and as a temporary resolution, ask them where the dependencies are... |
Re: Where Are All The Lib Files?
If you have the right repos installed, running "apt-get install <dependency>" as root will install what ever <dependency> is.

Re: Where Are All The Lib Files?
Its often worth searching for the libs using the app manager in the repos. It could be that the libs needed haven't been ported to diablo yet which gives you two options:
- wait until they are ported - try compiling them yourself from source |
