Diablo and Canola2
I still can't get my Canola work under Diablo. There is no video icon. Any solution out there?

Re: Diablo and Canola2
Python seems to be broken from what I can tell and it is part of the problem.
It will just take time to get all of the bugs worked out. |
Re: Diablo and Canola2
Canola works okay in Diablo. Use Canola Cleaner and don't install extras-devel.

Re: Diablo and Canola2
Canola2 Cleanup will not execute in Diablo.

Re: Diablo and Canola2
Mine is having problems even after a fresh install of Diablo yesterday. I did install about 30 applications so take it with a grain of salt. Basically, Canola starts but all text is missing eve in the configuration settings and all 'yes' 'no' pop up boxes. .

Re: Diablo and Canola2
Munk I had the very same problem as yours.
That's what I did: remove canola2 and everything related to it. remove any app that uses python remove python (dunno if it shows up in the App Manager, you can however remove it from command line: as root: dpkg --ignore-depends -r python2.5 ) - disable any extras repository. - add ONLY the chinook extras repository and install Canola2 again. - disable the chinook extras repository - re-enable the diablo one (the default extras repo) - enjoy, it should work. |
Re: Diablo and Canola2
In the Diablo Extras there is a Diablo Canola Cleanup

Re: Diablo and Canola2
I will repeat again. The missing Canola text problem is related to some packages from extras-devel. Remove extras-devel and reinstall. Search before you post.
