Dialog Boxes In The Wrong Place?
Hi all.
After installing Debian, my dialog boxes have started popping up in odd places (usually the upper-left or lower-right) so that I have to drag them around to be able to click on them. Any ideas what's up? Thanks in advance. Cheers |
Re: Dialog Boxes In The Wrong Place?
In order to be able to drag windows all over the screen, to press buttons and read text that falls out of our available 800x480 pixel estate, it has been necessary to modify one config file. Unfortunately, this tweaking provokes also such strange behaviour. There are no negative consequences, though, and you can drag those windows appearing near the upper left of your screen as you like.

That answers the question! I'm not all that annoyed. I just wanted to make sure it was related to Debian.

Re: Dialog Boxes In The Wrong Place?
Is there a way to make the upper left hand corner of the dialob go to 0,0 instead of negative values? (where 0,0 means the upper left hand corner)

Re: Dialog Boxes In The Wrong Place?
The upper left corner of the window goes to 0,0; the decorations then extend off-screen. Writing a patch for matchbox would be required.
