N810 - lost use of Home/Switcher/Lock Keys
 

I cannot pin-point if this was after I flashed up to Diablo, as originally I thought it was a Canola issue - but I realize my Power,Home, Switcher and Screen Lock keys no longer function. Well the power button powers on/off but I have to hold it for a long time, and it's essentially a "hard reset" - no options to lock the screen or gracefully shutdown...

Touch Screen and keyboard based hard-keys seem fine. Any ideas or remedies anyone can point me to, would be greatly appreciated.

Also if this is somehow PEBKAC (not unknown with me) and I installed something quirky - what program would have disabled these keys?

Occasionally I get a somewhat similar issue on the N800... Happens when systemui dies unexpectedly; have you been messing with softpoweroff by any chance?

You say, Home and Switcher? To me, those are the same key... Are you using one of those to refer to the Menu key (center-of-3 in N800, below dpad on N810) or Escape (CCW curly arrow, top-of-3 in N800 and immediately below Home/Switcher on N810)?

If you're referring to what I'd call Home and Escape, then it seems like all buttons on the face and top of the unit don't work, which begins to seem like a broken-cable sort of problem.

Just to follow up - I never found the apps that might have cause this behavior, but I reflashed Diablo. I regained full use of the buttons.

I slowly reinstalled apps from back up, but thankfully have not had the issue return.

Wish I could provide a culprit, but I'm happy to have full function back,
