ok, so i've been trying to flash my tablet to rd mode, but the flasher won't have it, it tells me that i need a newer version, and i have the latest, as far as i know at least. i'm using ubuntu linux 8.04

Are you using "flasher" or "flasher3.0" as the command?

my laziness was to change the name of flasher 3.0 to just flasher, and i wasn't thinking that it wouldn't work properly. i got this resolved now, got rd and usb host mode enabled, it was a rookie error, but it's resolved. thanks everybody.
