Buying N810 in Canada?
 

So I've been considering buying a N810 lately and the only real thing holding me back is tacking down a solid place to buy it from in Canada. Ideally I'd like to buy from a brick and motor store but that seems impossible.

So where would you first think to turn when wanting to buy a Nokia product? NOKIA'S WEBSITE! Ohh ok, I'll just march my browser on over there...

IF IT HADNT BEEN LIKE THAT SINCE MAY I emailed the ****** that works Nokia Canada support and got the same canned bullcrap response that they were sorry and I should contact the stores on their "store locater map" (which isn't even a map its just a list). I did, but all of them only sell Nokia Phones. Not the Internet Tablets, so no success there.

I was recently looking at the same thing (I'm in Toronto). I had to go to Michigan to buy my 770 and I'd rather avoid that.

I too discovered the online store was down, but from what I remember when it was up, the N810 is waaay more expensive than most stores. The only brick and mortar that I know of that sells it is Tiger Direct but the price is ridiculous. You can get it for around $385ish from ncix.com which is out in BC. They may have a few stores out that way but I'm not sure. A friend bought two complete systems off them and they're reputable.

They're $365 on tigerdirect.ca

I've been to the brick and mortars and have ordered stuff online off them tonnes of times (as have friends). I just bought on, you may want to as well.

So far the best online deal I can find is http://www.directcanada.com (Including Shipping, Taxes & etc).

I can save about 10 dollars if I go with ebay. The auction says it's new, not Refrub. Is there disadvantages to buying on ebay?

I've never bought on eBay but I know tonnes of people who have (records, etc.) I'd be leery of getting electronics off of there but that's just me. If it's brand new and it's from an online store, check the store's website. If it's an individual, that would put up warning flags for me.

How about an N800?

I can't find them anywhere now. I guess they have discontinued these?

And the N810's are much harder to find then they used to be.

What is going on? I know they will soon be selling the N810 WME, but is anything else new on the horizon?

Got my n810 from NCIX when they first came out [well, it was a couple weeks to get it in, but still]

The n800 claims to be in stock at tigerdirect.ca and I've seen a bunch of deals there.

Yes, to my surprise I see that the n800 is back on the TigerDirect website. So I went to the store today (the one at Woodbine & Hwy 7) and they told me that there were none in the stores and none on the web.

They didn't have any N810's either, but they said they would be getting them back in stock (unlike the N800's).
