Is there a way to get the console output instead of the begging hands Nokia logo when booting?

By the time the hands are shown, the xserver is started up. Even on my desktop, i don't get console output then.

You can set console output to be shown however when it's just the nokia logo shown, no hands. I've got console output shown on boot and it works. Search this forum for bootsplash.

If you just want to get rid of the hands then change

/usr/share/icons/scalable/hildon/qgn_indi_nokia_hands.jpg (800x480)

The startup images are:

qgn_indi_startup_nokia_logo.png (800x480)
qgn_indi_progressbar.png (24x16)
