Virtual GameBoy 3.5 Released for Maemo
Hello, All!
I have just ported Virtual GameBoy (VGB) to the tablets. VGB will run software written for Nintendo GameBoy and GameBoy Color handhelds. It will also emulate Super GameBoy, GameLink, Pocket Printer, and other addons. Please note that VGB will not emulate GameBoy Advance. You will need VGBA for that. Read more about VGB and download a .deb file from http://fms.komkon.org/VGB/ or get it from Diablo Extras. PS: If you like VGB or some of my other emulators, please, vote for them at http://www.maemo.org/downloads/OS2008/ :) |

Re: Virtual GameBoy 3.5 Released for Maemo
I have just released VGB-Maemo version 3.5.1. This version includes following changes:
* Now drawing directly to frame buffer in full screen mode. * Now using hardware scaling in full screen mode. * Input cues display fixed, no longer flickers. * Added optional frame rate display. You can get the latest VGB from Maemo Extras or from http://fms.komkon.org/VGB/ If you like VGB, please, do not forget to vote for it at http://maemo.org/downloads/product/OS2008/vgb |
Re: Virtual GameBoy 3.5 Released for Maemo
I was thinking if you could add "simulated multitouch" to VGBA, much like the way lcuk's doing in liqbase. Since the touch screen seems to always return the "average" position of any two presses, I believe there should be enough precision to at least recognize, while holding A (or B), which "on-screen d-pad" direction you're touching with your other finger.
Of course this just adds a bit of extra coolness (and not much more usefulness), since you can already play mario kart with the hw keyboard :) (EDIT: seems this is VGB topic. oops. either way the suggestion applies to vgb too.) |
Re: Virtual GameBoy 3.5 Released for Maemo
Nice, though is there a way to turn off sound? It's kinda choppy sometimes which is annoying.
Edit: In addition is there a way to speed it up? Like press zoom to speed it up? |
Re: Virtual GameBoy 3.5 Released for Maemo
menu button = speed.
