aMSN on Diablo?
 

Has anyone tried installing aMSN under Diablo? The directions I've been able to find in here point to bora and chinook files. Would it be okay to just follow the directions for the n810 (chinook) even though I have Diablo installed? Has this worked for anyone already?

Try rtcomm or pidgin if you simply want MSN IM (text messaging). Iirc aMSN was able to do video messages. is this what you want?

I tried to install aMSN on Diablo and it works.

Don't forget to download the tcl stuff at the bottom there, as well.
Actually, just remember to read the Readme. It's nicely written.
Gee, I had well given up on webcam MSN with my N810! Thank you making the thread :)

(Although I am not a fan of amsn for its interface. I understand emesene is working on better protocol support as well).

D`oh, it won't log in for me. Keeps encountering a strange network error.

The MSN protocol has recently changed, so the older version of AMSN won't connect. You'll need the latest release to get it to work again :)

97.2 I believe it is (0.97-2 perhaps?) you'll see it at the AMSN homepage.
