mount a whole ext2 SD card to /home/user
I'm trying to mount a whole SD card (formatted as ext2) at /home/user, so that I won't lose any of my personal stuff when reinstalling the system. I added a line in /etc/fstab to do this. But it seems fstab is not looked at when booting. Can anyone suggest how to achieve my goal? Thanks a lot!

Exactly so, fstab is not used. I'd add a script in /etc/init.d/ to mount it, and link it appropriately in /etc/rc2.d, with a fairly low number; you'd have to figure out which things depend on the home directory.

fstab is used in maemo .. I have added swap files and directories to my fstab and they are mounted for me by the time I get to the diablo desktop????
