a good way to view wikimedia offline on NIT

Install firefox on your pc, install and setup the zipedia plugin correctly. And then we get 2 files page-0.dat and zipedia.sq. Copy them to you sd Card of NIT.

install Minefield on your NIT , and the zipedia plugin(linux)

do some setups on the zipedia plugin(linux), and then you can view wikipedia offline on you Minefield of NIT, on the address like wikipedia://wiki/xxxxx
:D

Re: a good way to view wikimedia offline

Important: you will need a lot of memory (> 200 MB) and a lot of disk space (3.5 GB). Better use a computer to convert due to more RAM and faster I/O. See http://download.wikipedia.org for some information and http://meta.wikipedia.org as well. Its better to slim down the complete DB to a more normal amount of space (less than 3,5 GB).
