How to dial an extension number on N800 Internet call?
I am new to N800, can somebody tell me how to dial a extension number after dialing a phone number.
I have setup SIP for Internet call, it is no problem to call and get a call from local phone. But when I try to dial some phone number with extension, I don't know where to dial in the option. I tried the following things, but still can't figure it out. 1.DTMF dial pad, it does not work even I input the number. 2.Using bluetooth keyboard to input the number, failed. Thanks in advance! |

Re: How to dial an extension number on N800 Internet call?
Which application are you using for phone?
Are you talking about the VOIP application that came with the Nokia? Or are you talking about Gizmo? Skype? Something else? If you mean the one that came with the Nokia, I use SIPphone (Gizmo's provider) and I dial extensions with the DTMF pad and that seems to work. In Gizmo itself, I'm unable to dial extensions at all--the DTMF doesn't seem to work and THE GOGGLES, THEY DO NOTHING! Also, Skype--I doubt you mean Skype since it's not SIP at all. :) |

In the bundled "Internet Call" application, dial the call, then *once it has connected* choose Internet Call -> DTMF dialing from the menu. (Until the call connects, that option will be grayed out.)
I use that all the time to check my work voicemail via our automated PBX. |
