Where can I find libraries ?
 

I downloaded Maemo stars

but it requires libraries.

When I click on one link it downloads a file with 'packages'gz' which extracts to 'packages' without extension (550kb) but what can I do with this file ?

That's way old. There have been a number of API breaks since then, you'd have to update the code and recompile for it to work with OS2008.

You don't. The application was compiled for OS2006 against way out of date libraries. You either update the application to use OS2008's libraries or move on.
