List of Websites that offer Mobile Edition
N800 screen is a little too small for surfing internet. However, I found that if the website offers a mobile edition, such as for PDA or cell phone, then surfing is very doable.
For example, I just found something for Amazon, although I'm not sure there is something better. http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/h.html It takes a while to figure out the URL that points to the Mobile edition, which is often buried deep in a website. If people have a compiled list of websites for mobile devices, or can give me a link for these, it would be great. |

Frank, this is a great link!!! Exactly I've been looking for.
I've been searching for a good website that provides maps. Any recommendation? Or ,should I use a map program like maemo mapper? |

Re: List of Websites that offer Mobile Edition
Wouldn't it be more interesting and rewarding to try and find websites that offer clean, solid HTML/CSS in the first place so that there's no need for a mobile version?
Good websites have a "one size fits all" design. Whatever relies on a minimum screen size or other capabilities of the browser should probably be forbidden by law. I recently found this article about flexible design and it convinced me. |

It's not only a matter of fitting on a page, mobile versions save bandwidth too, so they are useful if you pay per MB.
