todays update messed up my n800
 

got the latest diablo today, 9-30-08, for is stablilty, browser and email updates. After the 33meg file downloaded, and installed, I was back at the application manager window. I could click on things but nothing was responding. Tried to shutdown using power button, nothing worked. Yanked the battery. Then tried to boot, and she just went in a circle. The progress bar on the nokia loadup screen would go all the way across, and then it would crash and reboot again.

Luckily, I just managed to reflash it back to an old diablo version.

Luck didn't have much to do with it; it's pretty hard to mess up an N800 to where it can't be flashed.

Anyway, now that you're running a clean flash (without whatever caused the initial problem), it should do the SSU fine -- do that before you load all your apps and data back on. ;)
