Does anyone know of a utility to save file in .pdf?
Like from Gnumeric, notepad or Abiword? In the desktop world, one would install the .pdf creator as a printer and then print to that utility.
I've searched and found some posts about setting up the tablet to print but don't think it applies here. For OS2007HE and/or OS2008 Diablo, please. Thanks. |

Well.. I know there are ways to do it in Linux in general.. and are likely ways to do it with the debian port we have going.. I just can't recall any specific names (google for Create PDF in Linux)..
If you can get specific software that looks like what you want for Linux - You could request a port from any of the geniuses we have residing here able to do that. |

Thanks for the quick reply. The whole Linux thing is pretty new to me but I'm ramping up quickly! Will go do your suggested searches. Almost surprised that it's not already been done here, esp. as the OS comes with a native reader.

This gives a couple that could be re-compiled for OS2008 I believe:
http://www.cyberciti.biz/tips/open-s...df-writer.html pdfedit, I can confirm Scribus works as it's in the Debian repo's and i've installed it using Deblet - but never used it for PDF modification. All the ones on that page talk about creating/editing pdf files.. you would need some kind of converter if you made it in Abiword first.. CUPS will allow what you wanted, the print PDF file, but CUPS is huge and has never been ported for the Tablet so far as I know.. It does work on Deblet.. so no reason it couldn't per se.. ... Actually - I just did a abiword search and ITT came up: http://www.internettablettalk.com/fo...ead.php?t=6174 Quote:
