Network manager broken, can't flash
 

Hey!

I have a weird problem with my n800: Suddenly whenever i try to search for wlan networks it just says "Searching" and no wlans show up - ever. So i can't connect to any new wlans. The n800 does however automaically connect to known wlans. (The icon is grayed out however like there is no connection even while connected).
So i thought i just reflash the device - but flashing aborts every time (multiple computers linux as well as windows). Well actually it doesn't abort it does not start. It says "Sending kernel image" or something and then reports an usb error and drops me back to commandline. (I'll add the error exact message when i get back home).

Any suggestions ?
