Pidgin Sounds....
 

ive got the most recent version of pidgin (2.5.1 - onix2) and my sounds arent playing at the appropriate events ive set them for... also , when i try to choose another sound in the preferences box, they never play when tested or during the appropriate events. any ideas?

On my internal SD card I put my .wav files in a folder called sounds. Then in Pidgin I go to tools/preferences/sounds and set Sound Method to "Automatic".
I then clicked the "Sound Options" box. Under "Sound Events" I clicked the first three boxes. In the bottom most window I set the path for "/media/mmc2/sounds/wavfile". Now when I use stylus to highlight the first event box and then hit "Preview" I hear my chosen sound. I hope this helps.
