7 hour restoration process <-- warning to those going from Chinook to Diablo
 

It took probably no more than a minute or two to backup all my data on chinook (88 mb). Then I installed the latest diablo and kicked off a restore. Progress got to 9% reasonably quick (couple minutes), but after that, it has been running for 5 hours so far, and only made it to 16%. 5 hours to make 7% of headway is absurd.

What's going on? "Restoring: Document files" will take days at this rate.

After a couple more hours, it finally got to a point where it was asking me if I want to keep the old or new version of the user manual - in every language. This happened somewhere between the 5th and 7th hour since the process started, and after those questions, it went quick.
