Mature game for N810?
Is there a mature game for the Nokia N810. I was thinking of installing
Battle for Wesnoth but when I went to the home page it listed soem "Defects": * Most sounds and music do not play. * Text fields in dialogs can't be edited with the on-screen keyboard. Needless to say I don't want that junk on my N810. I am intereted in strategy games, especially turn-based. |
Re: Mature game for N810?
Well the first problem is just if you don't mind having small amounts of sound and with the n810 you shouldn't use the on screen keyboard that's why there is a hardware keyboard and i have played the game it seemed to work fine on my n810.

There's a thread around here about the music, but its actually not very easy to get it running. Check the wiki or the forum for strategy games - there are some. |
Re: Mature game for N810?
there is a civ clone in the repositories (extras I think). Works fine but a little slow.

Quake. It runs as if it was built for the tablet. You move around with the stylus. It's just great!
Another game that works great on the N810 is Pengupop. |
Quake or pengupop are not very often called turn based strategy games :)

OpenTTD is quite impressive on the n800. Pity is... you might have to learn some russian to manage to get it

Re: Mature game for N810?
if you don't like battle for wesnoth, you can download the gameboy advance emulator with the 'advance wars' rom.
Just in case you don't know advance wars, it's a good looking turn based game made by nintendo, i think, and there's a sequel so you'll have plenty of happy gaming hours :D cheers |
