What's running in the background?
 

Hi

I was looking at the "services" menu and was wondering do I need all of these things running? Are they services that I don't use, taking up valuable space?

These screen shots were taken whilst no major programs where open (obviously I had some task bar stuff and home screen apps running)

Also is it only the Orange "Running" items that are actually running? Or is some system?

Yes, you need them. Nokia really hasn't included anything that you don't need. And for the most part they're not actually taking up that much memory or CPU time.

Cool, I just wasn't sure what the default services were and what I had added.

Some of those services can be disabled if you know that you don't need them. But unless you know what you're doing, you shouldn't touch any of these. As Johnx already said, they don't take much memory or CPU.
