Carman Questions
 

Ive got a few questions about carman , not sure if theyre issues or not , as i havent seen any other post with the same,

1. Simulator mode....i start carman , then in the system tray menu i tick the box for simulator mode....whats it supposed to do? it doesnt do anything for me.

2. Storage Folders... in the system tray settings menu i set everything to go to external mmc....yet everytime these setting reset themselves.

3. Carman home folder... everytime carman creates this folder. I dont want it there , i specify for everything to go to external mmc but it never stays set.... now i cant delete this home folder. its in the home folder...but its greyed out... i want this gone never to return, i hate having useless folders cluttering up my filemanager.

I can't answer all, but for simulator mode, really all I've seen it do is make the guages jump around...:rolleyes:

Someday I'll get an Elmscan 327 and try this out again. Just not right now.

I have the same issues: Inoperable simulator mode and the storage settings are never remembered meaning they always revert to Home Folder after rebooting. Also after reboot the simulator mode box reverts to unchecked.

i cant believe that map storage is set to the home directoy by default....thats stupid as hell, knowing how much room maps will take up

I don't mind that as the default, but not savig the setting to store in the MMCX is a definite bug.

could you please report those problems at the carman's bug tracker at the garage site. Probably it will be fixed for 0.7-beta2

Hello!

About the bug that don't save the settings is now fixed.
But, munky261, could you explain me "carman home folder" problem?
I didn't understand your issue...
