How can I set a proper date format / locale ?
I tried to set the date format to YYYY-MM-DD and time to HH-MM but without success, it is locked to country and language. Even en_GB uses that American AM/PM format. Is there a way to add a new locale which uses ISO-8601 format ?

to be so super-secretly sensitive they refuse to touch it or let anyone else in on what kinds of twisted surprises they hide there: Bugzilla Bug 6363 Date format should be defined by Regional Settings, not Device Language:( Defined as wontfix which actually means they cannot fix it or have some clandestine reason involving government-domination and ultimate integration into the global Borg of all nokia users. Even daring to mention ISO-8601 earns you a team of burly men stalking you wearing ill-tailored suits with mirrored sunglasses and earbuds. You have been warned... Anyway, Now we are past PR 1.3 it may be safe to play with locales. I hope. From a different thread with a different topic Re: Borked Again - Freed Up Rootfs Space - Now N900 in Foreign Language - Help Please! I found this: Quote:
I will be trying this later on this evening when I have some spare time and some liquid courage.:D |
