Becoming root
 

I am unable to become root except through SSH. I type in sudo getroot or sudo becomeroot but in both cases it will not accept the rootme password.

I can, however, SSH into the 770 from my desktop and it accepts the rootme password just fine.

Any suggestions>

i believe the command is sudo gainroot, and that requires that the package be installed. also, i think ssh localhost would work.

I hadn't thought about the ssh localhost. Thanks. I'll check into the gainroot too.
