N800 Downloading issue
 
I am having trouble getting my new tablet into the download position. I hold the bottom button and turn it on but it never shows the UBS icon and the download tool can't find the devise. Can you help? What am I doing wrong? Nokia N800

Which operating system are you using on your desktop or laptop computer to flash the tablet? If it's a Linux OS, don't forget to run the flash tool with root privileges (ie su or sudo).

I am running XP Professional. I have tried twisting everything I know how to twist but I can't get the Upgrader to see the Tablet. I am in download mode on the tablet side but I must be missing something. I just recieved this N800 and would like to download the new OS before I get serious with it.
