Goodbye my dear N800 (?)
Well, if the person comes through with the cash today my N800 will be sold (otherwise it's going on ebay). I love that little unit but I need something new and I don't have the foggiest when or what's in store for the N900 (or whatever it's going to be called). I'm not going to be fooled like Palm when I bought my Zire 71 (my third Palm Pilot) and waited for a successor to the Palm Lifedrive that never emerged.
My only complaint was when I needed a keyboard when I was on vacation and had to send an e-mail. Yes, I could have bought a keyboard or N810, but the anticipation of a N900 prevented me from upgrading. The N800 is a great unit, near perfect for what I need (i.e. I like to have a separate cell phone). Loved all the additional software (ssh, rdesktop, mplayer, games, Palm emulator, Canola, etc.) Now I'm using my iPod touch for video's and internet access. Next I have to decide which Linux netbook I'm going to purchase. |

Cool story bro.
I'm still the owner of a Zire 71 and waiting for a successor to the Palm Lifedrive. |
Re: Goodbye my dear N800 (?)
I've been holding on to my Amiga 500 all this time and I'm STILL waiting for that new Amiga to come out. :)

Re: Goodbye my dear N800 (?)
danramos: I had the Amiga 2000HD with Genlock. It was better than the 500.
Also, you can always run AmigaOS 4.1 (in stock!) on the Sam440EP. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedi...migaOS4.1b.png |

Re: Goodbye my dear N800 (?)
just give us an amiga emulator - I hope omap3 has enough firepower to emulate at 100% speed.

BTW, I'm not holding on this time, just sold the N800. No unhealthy emotional attachments for me:D |

But then, to revisit the topic, similarly there are a lot of people holding onto their old Amiga's and STILL waiting and waiting for Gateway (now bought by Acer, I think?) Amiga computers... and waiting.. and waiting. The OS appears to still be going through some upgrades but even that has hit some snags with legal issues. Man... why can't they let the Amiga just BE an AMIGA and release a computer with an OS, already? Sheesh. By the by, since we're talking vaporware, when is the next Nokia coming out again? |
