[Palm OS] Garnet kaput

I was playing Astraware solitare today and Garnet closed down.Guess that would be a crash? Now Garnet VM gives me the error 0x30070000 and will not work at all.
I don't know anything about xterminal and I hope there is another solution. I uninstalled Garnet, rebooted, reinstalled, rebooted....nothing changes the problem...still won't work...keeps failing. Does anyone know of a solution that a relative noob could do ?

Try deleting the contents of the ~/.gvm directory (that is, the .gvm directory in your home directory). That's where GVM stores all of its icon data, applications, etc. It should rebuild everything when you run it again. Hopefully.

In the future, consider backing the entire ~/.gvm directory up to a memory card, as you can copy the old one back if the one GVM uses ends up getting trashed.

I use Midnight Commander in an xterm to make the backups, FWIW.

Thanks very much for your reply and help. I do wonder why no one else came up with any advice?
The good news is, this mind racking problem has been rectified. I will be the first to admit I am not very skilled at the inner workings of my N800, but by dumb luck I discovered that all I really had to do was go into the Garnet settings and hit the reformat storage button to get back the basic gvm apps :).
Who knew?? But this crashing incident does beg another question...can you tell me how I can back up my garnet applications so I will not lose all of my information that I have there (ie in memos, etc.)
I do not know anything about using xterm and midnight commander..is there another way to back up??
