Is abiword a resource hog?
 

Was tinkering with Abiword tonight on a fully charged tablet and for some odd reason I got the bright idea to check the power remaining (don't know why, but I did) and I went from 7 hours down to 3 fairly quickly. Is abiword actually that much of a resource hog that it'd eat the battery dead that quickly on it's own?

It seems to be. I uninstalled it after trying to use it for a while. I tried to view several big files and it always froze (and my system was unusable for a while). Using "top" to check processes, Abiword was using tons of CPU, so I wouldn't be surprise if it turns out to be a battery hog.

Ah, ok. I'm just testing it out because of the spell check capabilities. Do you by chance know how to get that working too? I asked in another thread, but I'm only hearing silence. :(
