a few little feature requests
 

mail: a quick key combo to switch between accounts

mail: when moving message to folder it would be nice to scroll to folder and hit center of dpad instead of having to click ok button

browser: a home key combo to take back to top of a page

chat: a character counter when typing(i regularly user various jabber to sms services and people dont much appreciate more than 160 chars)

chat: if a contact has only been configured with an address for one type of account skip account selection when starting chat with that contact

mplayer: better codec support for wav files. my voicemails attached to emails from asterisk server will not play no matter which recording format i select in asterisk

disclaimer: some of this might already be possible but i have not seen in docs or forum search. TIA if you know how and share

For the browser install greasemonkey and the tapscroll script which gives you the ability to go to the top of the page (g), move left and right (h,l), move down and up half the page (n,p). It also has on screen buttons to move down and to the top of the page. To turn that function off/on just press (t).

Remember that you can file enhancement requests at http://bugs.maemo.org. Do a little research (some requests might be already filed by others, in that case you can add your vote). Open one report for each request, the more precise the better!

WAV files are uncompressed, so anything should play them. Are you sure your server is not saving them strangly, aka does desktop mplayer play them (and does osso-media-player play them?).
