Configuring Leafpad as default text editor
Hi, I've installed Leafpad but the File Manager opens *.txt files with Notes instead of Leafpad. I've tried the following with no results:
- Edited /usr/share/applications/defaults.list to comment the original tex/plain MIME type and replaced it with: text/plain=hildon-leafpad.desktop - I created an /usr/share/mime/packages/leafpad.xml by copying the osso-notes.xml file When I open a text file on the File Manager I get an error saying "Unable to recognize file type of: Computer.txt Search for an application to open it?" -- where "Computer.txt" is the whole file name. Any ideas? I tried uninstalling and installing again Leafpad, but it still doesn't work. |

Anyone care to explain the solution? GNumeric doesn't associate .xls filenames. I've not worried about it much but would like to resolve it eventually.
