Differences between Busy box and Sand Box?
Hi,
Is there any difference between "Busybox" and "Sandbox"? Thanks Chandra |
Re: Differences between Busy box and Sand Box?
Yes, they're totally different things.
A sandbox is a restricted area or system on your system where nothing can break out. The scratchbox maemo-SDK provides a sandbox where you can do your work without having to worry about messing up the rest of your system. Busybox is a lightweight shell replacement for embedded systems providing the most important commands. maemo uses Busybox as shell. |
Re: Differences between Busy box and Sand Box?
Thanks for your reply. So, we can do the cross compilation using GNU Auto tools and Sand box. Am I right?
Thanks in advance. Chandra |
Re: Differences between Busy box and Sand Box?
This is what scratchbox is about. It's a sandbox for cross-compiling stuff for ARM with GNU autotools.
