Differences between Busy box and Sand Box?

Hi,

Is there any difference between "Busybox" and "Sandbox"?

Thanks
Chandra

Re: Differences between Busy box and Sand Box?

Yes, they're totally different things.
A sandbox is a restricted area or system on your system where nothing can break out. The scratchbox maemo-SDK provides a sandbox where you can do your work without having to worry about messing up the rest of your system.
Busybox is a lightweight shell replacement for embedded systems providing the most important commands. maemo uses Busybox as shell.

Thanks for your reply. So, we can do the cross compilation using GNU Auto tools and Sand box. Am I right?

Thanks in advance.

This is what scratchbox is about. It's a sandbox for cross-compiling stuff for ARM with GNU autotools.
