Some conceptual doubts

Hi,

Can anybody clear the below doubts:

1) What is the use of "scratchbox-devkit-apt-https-1.0.3-i386.tar.gz" package?

2) What is the use of "scratchbox-devkit-doctools-1.0.7-i386.tar.gz" package?. It is a document generation tool. We can use this package to generate which type of documents?

3) What is the use of "scratchbox-devkit-cputransp-1.0.7-i386.tar.gz" package? "CPU Transparency" refers what?

4) What is the use of "Nokia EUSA licensed binary packages" package?

5) In the above query, EUSA refers what?

6) What is the use of "maemo-sdk-rootstrap_4.1.2_i386.tgz" package?

7) In the above query, what is meant by "rootstrap"?

8) In "Xephyr" command: -ac, -extension, Composite options refers what?

Thanks in advance.

Regards
Chandra

From Apophis - r4 in the Scratchbox Wiki: "Apt-https devkit is for accessing debian repositories over https. If you don't have such repositories, you won't need this."

Googling on "scratchbox-devkit-apt-https" reveals this and more.

Some hints in this regard are provided by the package manifest on Scratchbox Apophis:
  • docbook-to-man
  • docbook-xml
  • docbook-xsl
  • gnome-pkg-tools
  • gtk-doc
  • intltool
  • jadetex
  • libpaper
  • libpng3
  • tetex-bin
  • xml-core
  • xmlto

Googling on "scratchbox-devkit-doctools" reveals this and more.

The Scratchbox website provides a page explaining CPU transparency.

Googling on "CPU transparency" revealed this.

...EUSA refers what?
End-User Software Agreement.

Again, Google.

...what is meant by "rootstrap"?
The first hit for "rootstrap" on Google describes the tool. Given that information, you'd quickly work out that the Maemo SDK rootstrap tarball contains a filesystem image.

...Composite options refers what?
The Software/CompositeExt page on freedesktop.org may help. Again, Google.
