The 7" screen form factor means that it is not quite pocketable. The size is closer to that of a DVD case

I really like the looks. I hope that the next Nokia tablet will be on par with this.

Not true! If these are pocketable (Apparently originated on 4chan), then that for sure is.

(Actually, I think it would fit in my hip pocket, but nobody sane carries a computer in a hip pocket; too much chance of crunchage. It would live in a jacket pocket or (preferably) belt holster.)

It's one sexy tablet, but I think I like the Viliv S7 better.

No, the only reason it's not a competitor is battery life; x86 does that to you.

As for pocketability, it is potentially pocketable, and many people claim the N800 and even N810 are not, so for groups at both ends of the pocket-size distribution, this form-factor is a potential competitor.

i mostly wonder about the battery life, 200 hours standby, 6 hours video playback.

if they can pull that off, ouch!

If this was available now, all things being equal, I would have one and dump my N800.
That makes it a competitor in my book, which is why I posted the information.

I accept that the definition screen size for a MID is 4” to 6”, whereas 7” belongs to UMPC category. However the fact that this particular 7” screen is close to full size brings the physical form factor close to that of some MID’s.

For example the Lenovo IdeaPad U8 has a screen size of 4.8” and so would doubtless meet your criteria for inclusion in the Competitor section of this forum?

The comparative dimensions of the two devices are: -
Lenovo U8: 174 x 84 x 21
Viliv X70 : 210 x 117 x 22.5
So a 50% (approx) larger screen size is here available in a 25% (approx) bigger length and breadth. The thickness remains almost the same.

Anyway, I made it clear in my topic heading that the screen size is 7” so that should have been sufficient to deter you from reading the post let alone responding to it.

How is that not a competitor ? I really like that at leats there is a nice MID with Linux as a option.
Of course price might be the factor which makes this NOT a competitor to the Nokia IT's.
