Modest delete messages from server
 

I have searched for this and not yet found an answer. If I use modest to retreive my yahoo email and have the "leave messages on server" uncheked, the email does not get deleted from the server. If I do the same with gmail they do. Any ideas.

pop vs imap?

still, i would not be surprised if it worked with pop on gmail...

Are you certain that you have "keep Gmail's copy in the Inbox" selected next to "When messages are accessed with POP" in the gmail settings?

Where is that box? I do not see it in settings or accounts. I must be looking right over it.

its probably in the settings at gmail.com...
