N810 Newbie, questions, questions, questions...
 

I have been wanting one of these things and I finally took the plunge...$199.

I haven't received it yet, but I have been trying to do some research (including packages available) and searching for newbie docs.

The problem is that I am an N810 n00b, but have been using Linux for 14 years and Debian for 11 (and had a Zaurus for 5). All of the docs that I have found thus far are generally for absolute n00bs or non-techies.

Is there a set of resources that are more technical?

Have you spent any time poking around the wiki? It contains quite a range of information.

If you have specific questions or areas of interest, asking here for pointers to relevant resources will probably meet with success.

Actually, no. It was an openbox item from MobileCity.com They still say "In Stock" for them, so they may be refurbing them or some such.

The only thing I didn't get in the package was the car charger, but I called them and they are trying to see if they can ship me one out.

N810s normally come with an AC charger and part of a car mounting solution, but no car charger.
