any way to upgrade the buggy firefox browser???
arghhh...:confused:
running os 2008 version 5.2008.43-7 the mozilla-firefox browser gives me redirect errors all the time ( havn't found a bug -fix yet). how would i upgrade the browser ( firefox/3.0a1 tablet browser 0.3.7.)? cheers again! ps: is debian the lames distro around when it comes to recent apps? compared to gentoo i'm afraid that's my first impression... |

The *exact* error code and message would also be nice.
E.g. if it's about infinite loops then the site is quite broken and I worked around it by changing two values in about:config. |

And a careful inspection of the browser would make it clear that it's not straightup Firefox (whereas Iceweasel is), but has modifications to make it work well with touch-only and limited screen space, so even switching to a Debian Firefox/Iceweasel build wouldn't necessarily be what you want. Still, you can try Qole's Easy Chroot stuff to run Debian apps, including IceWeasel, if you want to. |
