N8xx as hotspot
 

Forgive me if this has been covered elsewhere - I searched but didn't find anything.

It occurred to me over the w/e (when I needed one) that my N810 has all the hardware - when paired w/ a cell - to become a quick and dirty hotspot. Set the wifi radio up in infrastructure mode as an AP - security beyond WEP would be nice but not that important - and route across to the internet connection established via BT/cell phone. Is there an application that does this? Am I missing something that would make this a no-go?

No worries; you tried. That's all anyone can ask.

I don't know you or how you searched, so please excuse my impertinence if the following tips are known to you:

• You'll usually achieve better success in searching the fora here if you use the Google search box on the site's main page. The search functionality built into the forum software itself is...disappointing.
• Alternately, you can go to Google itself, type in your search terms, and then add "site:internettablettalk.com" (without the quotation marks) as the final item in your search string.
