Running fine Kismet and ettercap on maemo 1 !

:confused:

i have some problem to install kismet and ettercap on nokia 770 maemo1.

kismet won't install by application manager ... (pkts not compatible)

Ettercap not working ... i found a userguide:

"untar it on root tree. no GTK support only shell. I have one problem with iptables, can't initialize iptables table NAT see /etc/etter.conf. Run it with --unoffensive tag for resolve iptables error."

give me an error with libpcre.so.3 ... (i downloaded it from internet and place in /lib/ or /var/lib and not working ...)

how can i download ncurses for maemo1 ?
how can i install deb packages from xterminal ?

somebody can help me ?
this is the first day with maemo 1 sry :D

one more question ... :

1- there are some difference for package install to maemo 1 and maemo 1.1 ? maybe this is my problem ...

KISMET :

install libncurses5 ncurses-base wireless tools and kismet.

if someone pkts is not installed properly (apt-get install ... ) try to install kismet with --ignore-depends= pkts name

working in progress ... i have upgraded to 2006 ...

it's been a while since I did maemo 1.1, but I don't remember using an application manager to install kismet software. There is a way using xterm to install software, and that's what I did.
