[Debian] no wifi with alternate os's?
i've tried a hand full of different os's on my n800 but for some reason none of them let me configure the wifi. using deblet i had the lxde desktop but when it booted there were 2 network manager icons in the bottom corner but i coudln't bring up any options for em, it just had a popup saying 'no network devices', i just put the gnome basic deblet on my external card but the network manager editor only lets me type in the name section, not bssids so i can't manually add my dd-wrt router. any sugestions?

Re: no wifi with alternate os's?
like the os's didn't have the wifi drivers. i coudln't even get either os to look for available networks.

Re: [Debian] no wifi with alternate os's?
i was able to solve it in my deblet installation by modifying /etc/init.d/tablet-wireless.
i added the following line to the end of the tablet_setup() function so it now looks like: Code:
# ifconfig wlan0 up - was for network-manager it worked on my deblet lxde installation right after the first boot. please let me know if you need assistance modifying this file |
