recommendations?

hi,

I was hoping to get so recommendation fot apps or ways to do the following:

1. Working word processor with spell check and compatibility with other programs like MS Word.
2. A decent WYSIWYG HTML editor
3. A good basic text editor like KWrite which can browse the entire file system unlike "Notes".
4. Is there a camera tool that can invert the image in real time so that when you turn the camera around away from the screen everything is not reversed (upside down)?
5. Can audio be recorded off the FM receiver on n800?
6. Is there an audio recorder for making voice notes?
7. Is there a PDF reader that supports searching for text and allowing clicking on hyperlinks?

thanks

Yes. You can use a new program called Boafm. Here's the link: https://garage.maemo.org/projects/boafm/

Yes, you can use maemo recorder: http://maemo.org/downloads/product/O...aemo-recorder/
Sorry, that's all I could answer.

If you're talking about the N800, then it should already do that, shouldn't it?

I recommend leafpad for the text editor.

(I don't know of a Maemo HTML editor, but there are several available in the Debian and Ubuntu repositories if you're feeling adventurous.)

Thanks. Yes, the camera app on my n800 shows the image upside down when i point it away (towards the back of the screen)

No, I don't recommend Abiword as I said in Eric's other thread:

Google Docs works sorta reasonably on the tablet's browser.
The lack of a voice notes app is absurd. The device's microphone is awesomely decent. One doesn't exist, but the chance of one being good is high ;)

Abiword seems to crash a LOT for me.

I ONLY use it if i have to open a .doc or .odt file, i.e. from my email or something. Then, I quickly copy/paste the whole thing into a nice and stable program like Notes, which allows my to view the content.

If you try to actually use abiword, good luck... It works, but not very well.

P.S. The microphone actually sucks for a device of this class. Old palms like my trusty T3 have almost twice the sample rate! I am not sure what the hell a "voice notes" app is, but there are sound recorder apps available. Also, I heard mNotes is getting voice and video support, which is nice!
